Holiday weekend, friday news cycle and and off day tell me that Jed will quietly try to hide his transactions today. Those are going to include sending down Morel and activating everyone's favorite check casher Heyward. He will probably do it in 2 moves though to keep the heat off. Bote will get activated and Morel will go down and then a few hours later Rivas or someone will go down for Heyward.

I think Frazier is also nearing the end of his rehab time but I don't want him back yet. He has been god awful in AAA. I am shocked by how bad he has been.

staked to a 3-0 lead against arguably the worst team in baseball, can't get 3 innings out of him without walks and 7 earned runs. coom-dog was telling us on the radio that steele mysteriously lost his command. performances like that from steele make the argument that maybe the reds aren't the worst team in baseball. hunter greene couldn't grip the baseball for 2/3s of an inning, but the cubs helped him out by swinging and striking out on balls in the dirt. no focus at the plate. close your eyes and swing and maybe you'll hit a homer.
