What does this series have to do with hating the Bronx?

didn't see it, thought he was a slightly retarded type who was jealous of happy couples/stable male-female relationships. i believe that the old yankee stadium (bronx) and the polo grounds (upper manhattan) were just across from each other - separated by the harlem river. been to the bronx a few times, lots of s. euro ethnics live in pelham.
