Mancini/Hosmer should be the alternating DH setup from now on. Torrens and anyone else has been ass.

The best thing about this game is that Chase Carter is sitting right behind me.

I would love to know what the numbers are of opposing batters after Hottovy visits the mound. I swear everytime he goes to the mound nothing gets better. Today...basehit, walk and Wesneski is soon bye-bye.

Everyone’s raving about the new bright lights at Wrigley…I’m not liking (yet). There was something about the shadows in center that gave the park character.

Agreed...this is dumb. You called the guy up, let him play.

Last year, righties actually hit today's pitcher(Gilbert) better than lefties. How many more years do we have to live with Ross?

Will Bernstein/Holmes question the intelligence of this deal or just be fanboys for Happ?

I don't know if this deal is outrageous or not, but it's only a 3 year commitment at least.

It seems like a pretty fair deal. He is a solid player and you are not locked into him for a long time. When this deal is up they will have several other young guys ready to take over.

They most not be sold on a bunch of the outfielders in the minors, I think PCA is the only one that pans out honestly.

He's more than solid, he's a great player who would have probably got 25 mil per year in the open market.

This isnt years ago where he had huge holes in his swing. This is a player we watched before our own eyes become everything you want in a baseball player. He can field, he can throw, he can baserun, he has a great eye and he hits to all parts of the field. On top of that he seems to be a great teammate and person.

We just got this guy for an extra 3 years in the prime of his career. The only proper response to this extension should be "Fuck yes! I get to watch Happ play in a Cubs uniform for another 3 years."

Hoerner and Happ have their contract extensions ending concurrently with the CBA, as is Suzuki's contract. Good business for both sides.
