Like I said, they think this is Moneyball (except the closer by committee never worked in real life), how can they go into a season without a closer?

Does the closer really matter when you suck ? If by some miracle theyre anywhere near a playoff spot mid season or later they can always trade for some underperfoming teams closer if need be. The starters are bad and are going to get pounded.

I like this team. They are scrappy in a can do kind of way. There is a nice mix of higher priced (not highest priced) talent and plenty of younger guys.

I doubt it's playoff team, but they are competitive against most other teams.
