this team plays good fundamental baseball. I dont know how far that will take them but they don't do stupid things and understand the situation.

Unlike in previous years when you were down 1 and had 2nd and 3rd in the bot of the 9th and the batter was trying to hit a 3 run hr instead of just getting a hit to win the game.

The defense is terrific too so far.

And they have legit 3 clutch guys on the roster that come up with the big hit: Bellinger, Nico, Madigral. These guys can go 0 for 10 but when you need the big 2 out rbi hit, they'll get it.

After what was a disheartening loss last night, they had to face Urias, who is one of the better starting pitchers. So it didn't look altogether promising going into this afternoon's game. But they jumped all over the Dodgers southpaw and the relief pitchers who followed. Meanwhile, Smyly was outstanding again on what was a genuine hitters day. Taking a split in this series would not be great. But it would be acceptable. But winning their 5th straight series would be really nice.

Watched more games this week then I have the last 3 years!

Manny Rodriguez is healthy again but has been so so. Cam Sanders has been absolutely filthy so far this year in Iowa. Nick Burdi has also been dominant aside from one appearance where he got blown up. 10 of his 13 outs have been strikeouts.
