Thompson struggling and Hughes on IL with Grandpa's quick hook on quality low-pitch count starts will make it hard to have prolonged win streaks. I can't picture Ricketts boosting the payroll much being so close to the luxury tax limit. Hope Grandpa spoke postgame. Should be very entertaining bs.

Boog again brought up the MLB '23 surge in home runs. JD agreed that there is. I think JD has thrown in the towel (classic Les -"wave the white towel") and just now agrees with Boogisms. In actuality 6.5% up from '22, down 5.7% from '21, down 11% from '20. Boog, Spiegel, and Levine together would be pure magic.

Tinker with the roster all you want and they'll still be around a .500 team. Even with some productivity surprises they don't have any stars or talent depth. Even if there are bullpen guys excelling Grandpa will put in a dud in high leverage situations who gets rocked. This isn't a roster to get too invested in as a fan.
