This team doesn’t deserve series threads.

Stroman with a gem today.

Glad to see Ross didn’t fuck up and let a pen guy blow it for him

I texted my dad after the 6th, I said "might want to turn on the game if you're not watching it" he said "what's happening?" I said "can't say, bad juju", he said "oh got it" and he knew right away.
Then of course top of the 7th before they really come back from commercial break he gives up a weak contact single. Of course. But it was a fun, tense game to watch.

You can blame me. I texted some friends and told them about the no hitter. And yeah, a blooper to break it up.

I was wondering which clown they were going bring in to give up 2 in the 9th. Good thing they didn't need it.

More bullpen mismanagement by Ross. He's just awful.

TB handed the game to the Cubs on a silver platter in the 9th. Walks, hbp, 3-1, 3-0 hitter counts. Grandpa will find a silver lining somehow praising the Cubs feeble 9th.

In addition to bullpen mismanagement the moron managed to fuckup his bench so bad he had no-one to pinch hit for feeble Mastrobouni in the 9th. I can say with confidence he might be the worst manager I have ever seen.

If Steele needs TJ, Ross is going to be rightly crucified for leaving him out there after Steele complained of throbbing pain.

It seems rare in modern day baseball for a pitcher to continue with any pain yet alone throbbing in the elbow cooling down (not throwing). Grandpa passed the buck twice bringing up Steele was cleared by the trainers. Hopefully it's nothing but Grandpa should of pulled Steele when he first got the news.

If it is TJS hopefully that's the straw that broke the camel's back to firing him

Tailon didnt shit the bed tonight.

Alzolay got out of a jam in the 8th 2 on no out. K's Tatis and walks off the mound punching his chest.

One more inning to go up 2-1

---

lieter strikes out the side, Soto, Machado, Crownenworth -

Dontrelle Willis a fun listen on FS1. Boog & Sutcliffe are much more listenable when the Cubs are losing and it's harder to glorify the Cubs.

Don't think I have ever seen an umpire get in the way of the runner like that before and he would have no doubt been safe on the play.

Fascinating that most of Cubs Score darling player's stats playing over their heads are reverting to the means all at once.

`23 MLB ops rank
63 Ian Happ
71 Seiya Suzuki
75 Dansby Swanson

Boog praised Seiya Suzuki for a great jump on a 7th inning catch he literally didn't have to move more than a foot for.
