why does anyone care about this projections right now? There is still a lot of time left before we really know what teams will look like

Three thoughts:

If the Dodgers don't hit the over on that, it's a massive failure.
WTF happened to the Padres?
Division favorite Cubs!

Padres lost Soto and Snell is expected to be gone.
Still a little interested in the over.

mlb network not impressed with the cubbies. bellinger back? craig counsell? morel blossoming? cubs prospects? imanaga? who cares.

saw amsinger and avila in mesa and greg has the cubbies at just under .500 and in 4th place, while alex avila has the cubbies in 2nd place, behind the cardinals. i thought mlb network fawned over the cubs too much in 2023, this 2024 cubs negativity and cardinal enthusiasm is puzzling.

One, maybe two of those prospects will actually make an impact in the major leagues.

Under Cubs (81-80, late season rainout not made up)

Over Sox (72-90)

I was wondering the same thing. Not 100% certain but it might have been this guy.

I like the over for the Cubs. I truly believe 90 is likely. Of course that will involve an addition at the trade deadline to bolster the bullpen.

I'll be 1-1. Cubs will not win more than 85 games.

You said under 81. They look like an 85 win team.

I said under Cubs and over Sox based on the OP;

So barring a giant miracle out the White Sox, I will be 1-1 at season's end.

Oh I see you predicted 81 wins. I thought you were saying under 81.

It will definitely be close to 85.

You might go 0-2 here. But even if you are 1-1, your loss is going to be really bad….
