What the hell is going on with the strength program there? Now Happ is down with a hammy. Its like everyone either has an oblique or hammy issue. That is literally the only reason they exist is to keep those types of injuries to a minimum yet everyone is blowing up.

didn't like the trade from the start - kept updating velazquez' stats after the trade. they basically gave him away for free.

cubs experts telling us that there was no room on the roster for him.....a club so full of talent that it failed to make the modern day expanded playoffs.

wasn't a fan of the ferris-busch deal, but hoyer looking good on that - so far. ferris still having control issues. if anyone can fix him, it's the dodgers.

The Marlins put yesterday's starter on the IL after the game with "shoulder fatigue" which is a nice way of saying "he sucks and we need another reliever."

I will be very disappointed if the Cubs don't win at least 2 of the 3 games between today's DH and tomorrow. Hendricks is pitching Sunday which is ominous, but I think they can outslug the Marlins then.

Maddon nailed the problem years ago. There's way way too much prep time for a game. It breeds anxiety which isn't good for your health.
