Lou is moving Fukudome to the leadoff spot tonight.

Heard that earlier. He seems like a better fit at #2, with his willingness to take a pitch (allows a leadoff hitter to steal-if he gets on) . He may be able to steal bases, but he really hasnt tried to steal many bases. When he does run, its usually on a hit & run. I would have preferred Theriot, but hopefully Fukadome does a good job. More important that Zambrano do a good job tonight though.

With Edmonds improved hitting, i think Lou feels like you can move Fukodome to the leadoff spot and still have a lefty in the 5 hole and break up the glut of right handed hitters.

Of course as soon as Lou does this, Edmonds leaves the game with a foot injury.

Yeah, the injury bug is biting. Edmonds, Reed Johnson, Soriano and now possibly Zambrano. It will be interesting to see how the outfield looks today. They might have to call up Pie, and send down Cotts,just to be able to play a decent defensive outfield.
