Missing Haren and Webb is nice. BUt I still don;t fell comfortable going into this series. Johnson has owned the Cubs in his carear but he is also pretty fucking old now.

I hope Harden has something close to what he did before the break. THe good thing so far is the pitching has been pretty solid the last three games. Hopefully that trend continues.

The Big Unit is 12-0 against the Cubs lifetime. What makes anyone think that tonight is gonna be different?

Hitting some balls hard against Johnson, just no runs. Harden is just nasty tonight.

He sure is.

Now they just need to get him some runs.

The only one looking silly so far is Aramis. There have been some very nice defensive plays and some atem balls being hit tonight. I'm not diminishing (okay, maybe a little) Randy Johnson's performance so far, but he is hittable.
The Cubs are not helping themselves out with the pitch count. Yuck!

It's time for Howry to find the bench. I keep hearing about the surplus in the Cubs bullpen, but the only guy i see on a consistent basis is Howry. where is Gaudin, or Marshall or Cotts?

Randy Johnson had an awesome game from what I could tell, watching from the 3rd inning on. I wouldnt diminish it.

I predict Lou goes off in the post-game.

I'm going to bed but I'll go to sleep and listen for my answer.

Fuck it, play Hoffpauir at first tomorrow and Derosa at third, Fontenot at second and Johnson in left. Play small ball. These two(Ramirez and Lee) haven't done shit on the road all year. Can this lineup hit any worse?

This is why they need to take DP-Lee out of the 3rd spot, a 2-0 count, he swings at a pitch 4 inches inside, double play. He has nice stats, but they have to be the most mis-leading stats in baseball. I am so done with him and his rally killing at bats, it endless with him.

They had better figure it out soon/

Horrible game. Harden gives up 1 hit and get a lose. Howry is horrible, 2 bad outings in a row since the break. Fucking Lee hits into another DP in a clutch spot, on a 2-0 pitch. At least Brenly called him out and said there was no reason to be getting jammed 2-0. So, in 4 games since the break, the Cubs are 1-3, and have scored shit besides Sunday's game.

Fontenot has more HRs on the road this year than Lee.

Soriano can't come back soon enough.

I came here to vent (let's vent!) about the game. This road offense is just ridiculously pathetic. Another great start by Harden, another denial of the rightly-deserved win. enigma, you're totally correct: this team needs Soriano. Bad. I'm not saying that's the answer, but I am saying it has the potential to be like acquiring a top of the line bat. If Soriano achieves his potential, this team is fine; if he doesn't, we're proper fucked.

Randy Johnson makes an already bad road team look entirely useless. This team has zero balls on the road, fucking waste of eyesight watching this road trip.
