Well, the pundits and some Sox fans were certain this would happen, so they should be happy. The irony is that it's for a blister of all the damndest things. Of course, given the Cubs full disclosure habits (or not), Kerry Wood is actually near death in an iron lung having contracted Legionaire's Disease or some such shit.

If it really is a blister, then by all means, fix it now. Rest is the only cure for it. Maybe Alou can send him some Miracle Whiz. :lol:

The AAA selections seem wanting? Certainly no one they've called up so far has grabbed the brass ring.

They've not used Gaudin much either. That confuses me.

Samardzja seems to be getting publicity to be moved up. If he gets a call up, that would be a meteoric rise without corresponding merit. He'd get torched in the bigs.
