As frustrating as today was, there is no shame for either Chicago baseball team in getting shut down by a Roy Oswalt and a Cliff Lee, respectively. Both of those guys....pretty good pitchers.

There is trouble afoot! I know you can feel it to, for I can feel the tension in every post since Saturday! Things have begun to unravel, and it is going to be hard to get this impending train-wreck back on track! Zambrano and Harden both hurt, and you know it is serious! The Cubs are hiding the truth from us! Sore shoulders, tired arms, this is not good! No clutch hitting, when needed most! They have turned into a slap-hitting singles machine, and that will not get the job done! They have been playing over their heads, and now the truth has been revealed about this team, and the holes are glaringly obvious! Bench Lee, start Hoffpauier, Start Guzman, bench Marquis!

Folks, I am not one to be what you might call an "alarmist", but it needs to be said - there is a shitstorm coming regarding this team, a collapse of monumental scope and far-reaching consequence! Future generations are going to point at this team and say "THAT is the team that cut my heart out"! Prepare yourselves for it! Don't be caught with your head in the sand!

Someone is paying attention . After his stint on the DL earlier this year, Zambrano came back in almost untouchable form. Thats why I really hope they can clinch early and give Z and Harden in particular, extra rest to ensure they are ready for a dominating post-season.

perhaps, but they are a combined 24-16 vs mets, brewers, phillies, dbacks, dodgers and cards. they can play good ball against good teams.

Yeah, but so far, outside of the bomb by Soiano, it has been how Tommy Lasorda described the Cubs offense years ago. He said it was like Rush street, a lotta singles but not much action. Lets hope they start scoring more, when they get chances like they had already.
