The Cubs pitching staff has been near the top of the list on Team Strikeouts, Team K/9, Mystery injuries and Towel Drills every year while Rothchild was here.

He was very under appreciated as Darko touched on. He'll get a new job soon.

Edit: For the Yankees. Wow.

I'm torn on the guy.
There's no doubt that the Cubs have had very dominating pitching over the last 9 years that he was here.
They've also had their share of injuries due to pitching mechanics. They've alson had an odd share of psychos and oddballs. Yeah we know Z is weird but what the fuck happened to Rich Hill? Dude went crazy. And we all know of the Prior and Wood sagas, often blamed on mechanics and overuse. Was that on Rothchild? It's debatable.
But he did certainly turn out some quality players, and even got something out of some old ass lame shit, like Borowski.

Name 1 pitcher that Rothschild helped develop into a great pitcher.

That is a pretty difficult question. Here are 3 I would say have performed better than I anticipated.

Matt Clement
Carlos Marmol
Shawn (? is that right?) Marshall

Ahhh yes, the whole whats better for my family rears its ugly head again. What about the 4 months a year that you're off Larry?? that not enough time to spend with them?? Been here 9 years and you play half your games in Chicago, Im pretty sure you get paid enough to have a stabbin cabin here as well as your home in Florida, and can afford to have your family here. You want to leave? fine, but lets not start with the Ill be closer to my family when most people who work dont get the amount of time off that you do.
