Theriot traded to the Cardinals

always felt he would make a perfect fit on Larussa's club, ever since we traded him

and now the monster of Theriot awaits to haunt us and show us what we got rid of

What we got rid of?
A 2nd baseman turned poor shortstop who was no longer necessary after he was replaced by a much greater talent in Starlin Castro?
Look man, there's no ghost ok? Theriot was a bad SS, and a mediocre 2nd baseman with a better than average BA and a lower than average Slugging%. He was no more than "a guy".

I don't know if Whistler has the same technique, but I find it rather challenging.

Are you going to let Bucky Chris talk about you like that Whistler?

Wait, were you talking about me? How dare you!

I think I heard this morning that Theriot said that now he is on the right side of the Cubs - Cards rivalry. Prick! No...I understand he is trying to endear himself to Cardinal nation.

As for the Cubs...they are better off with Castro & DeWitt

Clearly a bit by Whistler. Every team some mediocre Cubs name pops up, here comes a thread lifting said player to glorious heights and then he sits back and listens for the responses.

I, for one, am damn happy to know I will never have to hear anything about Cajun Connection, fishing, or watch him play on a daily basis.

On a good team, Theriot is a utility man. He should not be playing every day. Unfortunately, for the Cubs, they needed him to play every day.

A lot of people believed it well before he was traded.

I for one am on multwhistler's side to some degree. The Cardinals always seem to get more milage out of grindy white nobody type players than they should. See Miles, Aaron and Kennedy, Adam et al. Now that being said am i sad the Cubs got rid of Theriot? No. But I imagine he has a servicable year for them at 2nd. The Cubs biggest problem during the Theriot era was the insistance on leaving him at SS as long as they did when it was clear he had the arm of a 2nd baseman. THANK GOD the Cardinals didn't get Fontenot otherwise they would have the Central locked up for the next decade.

Theriot was an OK middle infielder but he didn't excel at anything. He wasn't fast enough, didn't get on base enough, inconsistent hitter for average, not enough power, mediocre arm. Nice guy, though.
