He still sucks. He needs to add some singles in there & get his average to at least .250

WHOA, SLOW DOWN THERE NELLY.

I don't even need .250 out of Peña if he has an OBP of .350+ and 30+ HR. I would say .250 is a very, very optimistic number. He doesn't hit for average.

I'll be content with .240, 33 HR, 88 RBI...as long as he is taking walks. Hopefully in the 3 hole at some point.

 33 HR's in 5 months? Good luck. I would be thrilled with .190 15HRs and 35RBI's and then traded to another team in September

Today my son looked up the guy I wanted the Cubs to sign,Lance Berkman.
His stats along with his 1 year contract for 9 Million make me ill. The fact he is on the Cards makes it worse. Fucking Hendry

He looked terrible last year. He is playing out of his mind right now and is probably roiding and hghing hard core right now.

Yes,but one bad apple don't spoil a whole bunch, girl. He has had a great career and would have been a much better signing then a guy with a history of mediocre BA's.

I understand what you are trying to say but he is not the answer, no matter how good he is playing. They have bigger issues, it would be akin to putting a band aide on Osama Bin Laden's head

Fat Elvis is fat..and he isn't even cool enough to be elvis and he played inside the smallest stadium in the league and he got shipped away to the most glorious place in the league and sucked a fat cock and now he is hitting out of his mind because he said he would DD for Larussa in exchange for some clean piss so he could pass his roid test.

Bigger issues?
2nd base-Barney NL rookie of the month
SS-Castro might be the next big thing in MLB
3rd-Rameriez great hitter, should start warming up
LF-Soriano off to his best start
CF-Byrd,Cubs lone All-Star,needs to get hot
RF-Fuks off to a good start
C-Soto looking good at Defense,starting to hit a little,too
Bullpen looking fine

Starters have been the big issue

Yes, but he was hitting .450 just over a week ago. The slide begins!

It's all downhill after April 30th.

Nah. He's going to rake through the summer and get a 2nd contract.

If he signs a contract befitting of a 4th outfielder, I wouldn't have a problem with that. He's a decent glove in right, solid base-runner, can lay down bunts even during his summer slump.

Yes, but if he rakes all summer I would fear a Hendry-like contract.
