Fair question. He was average to below average most of his career. Then, as he approaches 30, he becomes the greatest pitcher in the history of MLB. Ain't that a kick in the head?

Nah. He is just a physical specimen that figured out the thinking side of pitching and has the durability / strength / whatever to give him complete control of his body.

He is way too public about his yoga...his workout...diet...his whatever else. I feel as if he would welcome whatever testing MLB threw at him.

He is one of the few pitchers that are well rounded athletes.

That's what they said about Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire and Sammy Sosa before it was exposed.

Is Beardown a dumb ASS?

Fair question. His posts have been below average most of his career here at the CSFMB.

Whatever. If he weren't doing it as a Cub, all of you Cubs fans would be asking the same question. It's a legit question even if it comes from me. Who becomes the best pitcher in the history of MLB at the age of 30 without some help? But keep your blinders on. I'm not asking you to give a shit if he's on PEDs. I'm cool with the notion of "Just keep on getting away with it" as a fan of a PED player. But don't tell me it's not a possibility.

A guy who actually works at his craft and betters himself. Like JA. Nuff said.

Like I said, you Cubs fans were saying Sammy Sosa "worked at his craft and bettered himself" in 1998. Please. Don't be naïve.

Nobody was talking steroids for Sosa in 1998. They were celebrating that home run race.
