I agree. But my point was because they do not have the payroll to add higher priced free agents, Hahn was forced to shop in the lower market.

They wouldn't have looked a whole lot different with a different manager in 2021. That bullpen was suspect all year, their starters shit the bed in the playoffs and were just mediocre in the second half of the season, and the offense was inconsistent. That team was hollow to the core. No manager is going to change that.

Absolutely right. Bochey in my opinion is the best manager in baseball. Great handle on pitching, firm command of a team without being a tyrant.

Basically the last couple years I watch one team and whoever the opponent is plus the playoffs. I can only come up with one great manager, a couple good ones, and a exceptionally large number of bad ones. I'm not confident in that opinion, but it's what I see in the limited amount of games I see.
