Palka shouldn't even be on the roster.

Castillo should only be used as a 3rd catcher- in extra innings games or in case of an injury. He should not get another start.

But, what do we know.

Hahn officially stated that Robert and Madrigal will not be called up saying that they deserved the rest after very successful seasons. What a crock of White Sox bullshit. This has Reinny's cheap assed fingerprints all over it.

"Deserve the rest" is an insult. It implies the players would not want to join the MLB team if given the choice.

Yes it is. It was all about the Benjamins and everyone knows it but Hahn has to try and sell this tripe with marching orders from the cheap assed owner of the Sox.

This doesn't apply to Collins?

Then when they aren't with the club to start the season next year, it'll be said that it's because they don't want to throw Robert or Madrigal without having any prior MLB experience.

It's all stupid bullshit.

If anybody was going to believe their bullshit with regards to Robert, Hahn should have said, "He's healthy going into the offseason and we want to keep him that way."

the question isn't even worth asking

we know what they are doing and why they are doing it. You don't have to agree.

True, but there is some joy in watching Hahn try and rationalize it.

Anytime the sox get push back it eventually ends in blaming the fans somehow.

These motherfuckers called me a couple weeks ago, to buy a season ticket plan. I said, after last offseasons mess up, I'll wait to see what you guys do.

They had the balls to raise ticket prices for next year.

And they are also offering a flash sale where you can get (mostly upper deck) tickets for the date; tomorrow is $9.06, etc.

They always run specials and offer cheap seats. Thats one of the things JOrr hates after he's bough his ticket package over the winter. gd you and I both know that to about 75 Sox home games, tickets can be had for $10-12 if not less.

The biggest problem I have with these things are, they know where they messed up based on having pre-written responses to the problems you bring up to them. I told them, I don't like the control game you guys are playing with Eloy and now Robert.

I was laughing at that promotion. I can buy the cheapest seat in the house for the rest of the year for less than that and sit anywhere I want in the park.

Pretty much. I think they are doing their Halfway to St Pats this weekend, so the hat giveaway usually draws a crowd. But yeah buy a $9 ticket, and you can plop your ass down in almost any non-Scout seat that you want.

I really hope that they give Mendick a close look both in September as well as in spring training. Looking at his defensive stats at Charlotte he only made 5 errors at 2nd, short, and 3rd base in something like 120+ games. That is truly amazing to me. He did not have an error at 2nd base and only one at short-stop. He also hit more home runs at Charlotte than any other player other than Palka and stole the most bases.

Guys that get drafted late in the draft(22nd round), have a tough slog to make it compared to higher drafted guys but Mendick has steadily climbed up the ranks and performed well at every level. It is guys like this that I really root for because I know how tough it is for these kids to make it.

I apologize if this was posted previously, but I heard this during an update recently and thought it was noteworthy given the tie-in to a Cub favorite of yore...

Robert paced the Minor Leagues with 314 total bases -- becoming the first 30-30-300 player since Jose Cardenal in 1961.

Hopefully Robert is not afraid of crickets.

Mendick continues to impress when given the chance to play. The guy could become a good lead-off or number two hitter next season. With Madrigal in the wings, the Sox infield looks to be very promising including a down the road replacement for Abreu at first base in Sheets and their number one pick this season(forget his name at the moment).

Vaughn. He struggled a bit at high A. Not to worry. Probably a little worn down between College and 3 stops in the minors.
