I agree with that too. Why can't you assume a double play? I sure as hell can. They're big leaguers. These guys are on point tonight.

third time thru the order got him. It's a good thing the offense got him some early runs.

Ha! Engel hit the ball so hard he knocked a guy out of his seat.

If you're going to tank, tank.

Tanking is silly. It's not like Lew Alcindor is the first pick and the Sox are gonna be stuck with Neal Walk.

But I have no problem with the Cubs losing- on purpose or otherwise. Good thing you're a fan of them.

Man Abreu has another shot at the cycle. Guy has had one hell of a season.

There really is no reason to trade Abreu for prospects.

The breeze from Tim Anderson's whiffs have knocked MANY guys over.

Agree, the guy can DH and play first and rake for 5 more years.. The Sox should be contending for the division in 2019.

looks like the Abreu v. Rizzo debate will be tied at two

Not a chance. It has taken your boy an insane 2 months to just catch up, while Rizzo is currently having one of his 'one week' slowdowns. Rizzo will finish up 3-1.

I'm not sure about that. There's going to be teams in the market for power. San Fran, Boston, Seattle and St Louis to name a few and this is another weak free agent class. If one of those teams makes a strong offer I think they have to pull the trigger. Papa Bunt can hold Moncada and Jimenez's hand for another year.

I doubt they trade Abreu. The Cuban connection is big for this team. Should they trade him if they get a great offer? Fuck yeah.

First and Third, no out in the 9th down 4-3 and 2-4 coming to bat against some ham and egger and they cannot get a run in to tie the game.

They needed that loss. The Tigers are getting a little too close for comfort and they must stay in the top 3.

I don't like losses resulting from prospects like Moncada and Davidson failing.

Come on man it's baseball. It's a game of failure.

2nd round of fantasy baseball playoffs and I actually grabbed big Timmy today. Finally letting him run a little and he's delivering. If he can be a consistent SB threat when on, makes his shite D a little more palatable.

And not worries about Davidsons' failure. Hard to imagine he's on the team in 2019, let alone 2020.

They get burned yet again by the stolen base in a shift. You'd think they would figure this out by now.

Love seeing Timmy use his legs and it turns into a run. Adds another dangerous dimension to his game.

Watching him pile up errors is pretty dangerous.

Was at the oral surgeon's office all afternoon. Coming home, I hear Avi (who is hitting a very Yaz-like .333) had seven RBI!

Avi--GOOD PERHAPS?

Only 1 game behind the Sox for draft positioning.

After playing right around .500 for the last quarter of the season and after playing so many highly regarded prospects I again ask conns: are they tanking?
