It's all coming together. The Bears move means that the White Sox are now Chicago's pro team. Looking at a decade or more of sustained success. A new stadium coming in the next 10 years.

They are barely an above .500 team post ASB (36-33) and about to be bounced in the 1st round by the Houston Astros.

The All Star game isn't some magic line that means anything.

Since July 31st (another random date)
Sox 29-24
Astros 28-24

Get in the playoffs and hope (yes, it's a dangerous thing)

The random stat I like, and it could be completely useless. It seems like game 1 of every series is when the Sox put out their "A" lineup, which is what every playoff game will be. Since Aug 1st, they are 14-3 in "game 1's".

Astros just lost 4 of their last 5. They are going to be coming in cold against the Sox and Giolito will mow them down Game 1.

If I'm Jerry, my first call today is to Lori Lightfoot about this. My second call is to the Bears front office about keeping a section of the massive land they just bought open big enough to have a baseball stadium built on it. The parking, restaurants, casino, and all that other stuff work well for 89 home games a year.

Exactly. It's FUNdamental. City is unlivable and dangerous. The Heights are full of Wypipo, so safe.
