You can if you are drinking the entire time!

This is when you needed the old batters helmet that could hold 2 beer cans and you had 2 straws.

So, a typical night at the Cell.

Not sure exactly how this works yet, but just received an email about buying tickets for April 10-15. My window opens March 24th at 1pm. Sounds like old school ticketmaster rush.

Is there really a logjam at DH?

Yes and No.

I think Collins should be playing every day, but where does Grandal play? We we continue to give Mercedes time to adapt? What happens when Eloy comes back? Should Robert be moved to a corner going forward?

Rick Hahn should win Executive of the Year with the depth this team has. The Hahn haters can fuck the right off.

What has Collins done to make you think he should be playing more? He looks like a typical light hitting backup catcher.

Assuming Robert and Jimenez can stay healthy, those two are in everyday (w/Jimenez likely more often at DH). You'd think Vaughn would get most of the LF at bats, but Engel, Goodwin and Sheets are all going to get some at bats down the stretch. As long as these guys are all hitting, it's a good problem to have.

That was said, 2 months ago. At this point with playing time, it is clear Collins is nothing more than a backup at best. It would of made sense to of played him full time the 2nd half of 2019, to see what you had.

Wow. Givers up in a hurry.

I'd suggest you give a developing catcher a little more time than one season. We're talking about catching, not a butterfly chasing left fielder. It's a heavy workload for a greenhorn.

It is not about his catching ability. The question at this point is, do you wanna sink more time into him or Seby?

I know it's not about catching ability. it's about the workload of a catcher. The bat just doesn't get the focus it deserves until experience catches up.

You sink more time into both of them. There's room either here or Charlotte. Where's the fire? We have Grandal for 2 more years, right?

Is Selby an actual prospect with more upside than Collins? I'm not against Collins being a backup catcher next season (or competing with Selby if he has minor league options)

Collins was a 1st round pick and and at that time they had no idea if he could catch. If the Sox didn't pick him, someone else would have. Point being, catchers don't grow on trees. You don't toss them into the garbage bin because they've had a couple bad months. He's a lefty, he has a good eye, and he has some power. That's good enough for now because he's a catcher. Now if Jake Burger was hitting .200 with a bunch of Ks, he's on a fucking bus back to Burgerville.
