Is Sale ultimately going to be traded for the simple reason that Sale doesn't seem like he wants to be here?

None of the players listed in that article strike me as guys who should be untouchable.

When trading Sale, no one should be untouchable.

Exactly. It's annoying to keep hearing that word. I would just fuckin hang up on any team that said that about one of their prospects in a potential Sale deal.

Well, I wouldn't say no one. It's not like the Cubs should consider giving up Hendricks or Schwarber.

If the Astros are dead set against moving Correa or Boston is putting Betts/Bogaerts off limits I'm fine with that. But the talk of Dansby Swanson or Alex Bregman being off limits is too much for me to bear.

Hendricks isn't a prospect, and the Cubs should consider giving up Schwarber.

If they are not getting 4 top prospects then it's stupid to deal him. You have Sale, Quintana and Rodon locked up for cheap for the next 3 years. Add in Eaton and Abreu and that's a core. Stupid to deal him for anything less than best of the best prospects.

Let me know when Sale has a baseball encased in plexiglass.

Chris Sale could play a better LF than Schwarber.

Schwarber improved. As long as he can swing the bat none of it matters.

Give Schwarbs a break. Hard to play a decent LF when you're the size of Rhode Island.

Thats true. Its hard to believe Fowler didnt see or hear Schwarber lumbering towards him in Arizona.

Speculation on the Nationals making an offer. With an interesting note that the White Sox supposedly said they would not consider offers from the Cubs:

Good for the White Sox.

Turner, Giolito, Robles and Fedde and I'd be OK.

Any Nats offer would have to start with Harper or they can fuck off too.

Post subject:  Re: Trading Sale

Harper leaves for the Yankees in two years and there's nothing anyone is going to do to stop him. I'd almost rather have Trea Turner for that reason alone.

Asking for more from the Cubs is one thing but not considering an offer is stupid.

Inferiority complex from the White Sox front office ... nothing new to see here.

I always knew the Sox were scared to deal Sale or Quintana to the Cubs, dumb organization from the top down..stop being a pussy and hear what the Cubs offer is, IMO the Cubs and Dodgers have the best farm system in mlb.

This isn't just about Sale but I don't understand why any team would trade with Theo. The track record of looking foolish is pretty well known. Theo trades his trash away and then laughs at the team that did it.

The Billy Beane trade should have been his last in baseball.

The Yankees cleaned up last year.

Well, I'm sure if the Cubs called up and offered a laughable deal like that the Sox would take it.

So for evidence we have a one time "all in" type move by Theo and one trade from 2011.

Yeah, I'm going to say it would be smart to never trade with Theo.

Yeah, I don't care about the Chapman trade at all. They won. It was worth it.
