Kevin Newman. Was a big part of the Pittsburgh Q talks a year and a half ago. He hit for the cycle today and made some news so I checked up on him. The shine is off but I think there is a good ballplayer to be found there. He's only an average SS but maybe someone they could bring in to put some pressure on other guys. They are in a position to trade away some OF prospects for IF prospects, and Hahn has mentioned prospect-for-propsect trades being on the table. He's a guy that could be had relatively cheap and I believe can contribute. |

If they’re gonna make a prospect trade I’d like to see them get a 3B. I’m not sure what they’re planning to do with Moncada but I can’t imagine they think he can be better at 3B. I doubt they can get Ke’Bryan Hayes from the Pirates or Austin Riley from the Braves but maybe they can get Carter Kieboom or Luis Garcia from the Nats. |
