Give him zero benefit of the doubt, criticize every move and then, if by some stroke of luck, he falls ass backwards into a good decision, begrudgingly acknowledge it solely in contrast to the bad decisions he’s made.

The word on the White Sox interwebs is that Getz had been throwing Kenny and Hahn under the bus for a while. Maybe (and yes I know this is a huge giant maybe) those two were keeping a lid on him and he wanted to try and new approach. Given the reports we have heard about Hahn wanting out, its plausible that this may have been the case and Kenny was still power hungry and involved in everything. We'll just have to see. I know us Sox fans can hope in one hand and shit in the other and see what fills up first, but all we can do is hope at this point.

IMO nothing will change until Jerry dies or sells, but I'll do my best to give Getz the benefit of the doubt for a few months and see what moves he makes or is allowed to make.

I hope you're right, but I don't think you are:

1. Kenny and Hahn drafted Getz and brought him back as a member of the front office. I think he would feel some sense of loyalty to them and probably wouldn't undermine them;
2. Jerry seems like someone who values loyalty. I don't think he would reward somebody who undermined his superiors with a promotion; and
3. If Getz's criticism was well received, you would still think there would at least be some incentive to hire outside of the organization. It seems like they didn't even bother to look outside the organization.

I'm not even going to bother with forced optimism at this point.
