Yea arbitration, he opted into it. Really more of a settlement. |

I don't know with 100% certainty, but I don't think the MLB has restrictions on how quickly a newly-inked player can be traded like the NBA does, especially because Abreu is, technically, still under team control and not an unrestricted free agent. So he could still have this deal traded, and soon. |
