Cubs fans will be screaming bloody murder about every one of those contracts before they are up. Hell, they have already done that with Lester and Heyward.

Winning the World series will certainly mute most fan complaints about contracts. Cubs fans have lived through the Soriano contract fairly recently....so we should survive the next few seasons. Plus, The Cubs should have plenty of revenue with the increase in ticket prices...and everything else they are monetizing.

An added note about ticket prices.....4 box seats 2 years ago was $38K a year...this years invoice...over $50K. That shit will cover some bad contracts! Fuck.

losing sucks

planned losing is damn near a sin

I've seen people at wsi advocating going to more games in 2017 to show support of the rebuild. Forget that noise.

Having these contracts right now should have resulted in a golden age of White Sox baseball. Instead, the Sox are trading them.

That's what I'm saying. If they can't build a winning team around this core of players what makes them think they can win with a different core of players.

Their core of position players largely sucked. And they were pretty terrible defensively. Trying to build up the middle this time. They seem to be able to develop pitching.

Kris Bryant. One guy.

Well 3 are on the big league roster and all of them had a hand in winning game 7.

If you're going to call .240 batters "hits" then I guess Tyler Saladino is a double off the wall.
