I have mixed feelings about that trade. I don't want them to trade Q but damn it would be nice to get Austin Meadows. He's the 2nd best amateur player I've ever seen (Hunter Greene took over the top spot). Watching a dynamic player like that on a daily basis is enticing as hell and he's close to major league ready.

Sox have their hype machine in overdrive on Q. I've seen several analysts saying that Q could bring more than Sale because of the extra year of control and minimal performance difference.

I don't think Hahn is hyping anything up, it is common knowledge that the guy is pretty good, his stuff isn't as good as Sale's but he makes less and is locked up longer...I have more faith in him staying healthy over the next 3-4 years over Sale. I guarantee you his win % goes up on any other team, the Sox offense was offensive.

Marginally maybe. But if you think he's suddenly going to start posting 15-6 seasons, I think you'll be sorely disappointed. I want him to go somewhere where his supporters can't complain about a lack of "run support".

I would not say by a huge margin. I would at least ask for some combination of three of their top five. And I doubt you would have said they would have gotten the package from the Nationals ahead of time.
