#WhiteSox sign LHP Tyler Matzek to a minors deal. The 2009 first-rounder pitched for #Rockies in 2014-15 but spent 16 as reliever in minors

For some reason I envision a career arc like the Uptons. Like Justin, he might be a serviceable decent player, who just quite never breaks through to a star level. Or he could easily wind up like Melvin/BJ, a talented but wildly streaky type player who has a couple 3-WARish seasons, but also some negative ones.

If he can hit like Melvin Upton and play 2B that would be pretty solid.

would you take Brandon Phillips career? I would... but I'm sure some Sox fans would find that unsatisfactory.

You might get an Arietta every once in a blue moon.

I'm wondering what the Cardinals' issue is in this scenario

The Braves claimed 1B/OF Christian Walker.

Yet another missed opportunity. Dumbasses

This act or bit sucks. If this is the way you really feel, you're a complete simpleton of a "fan." If you never post about the Sox again it will be too soon.

If you are this upset about the moves the Sox are or arent making, find another to piss and moan about.

Sounds like they're in on this Cuban OF Luis Robert. Good. Get him signed.

I would be shocked if they get him.

They've done well in the Cuban market. I think they have a good chance.

If he's there at #11, I'd like the Sox to take Keston Hiura. I know the Gordon Beckham comps are there, but the kid looks like the best college hitter so far this year, and I'd be willing to take on a bit more risk in the hopes that his quick wrists develop into more power than scouts suspect, because his ability to square up the ball is obvious.

The Padres have agreed with LHP Osvaldo Hernandez on a $2.5M signing bonus.

Rebuild by osmosis.

He's this generation's Paul Popovich. Why bother?

They picked up Alen Hanson off waivers from the Pirates.

Former 1st round pick.

Wonder what KLAW says about him?

So....is Yolmer gone or something? If they send Hanson down, he goes on waivers again...I'll take Yolmer. Sounds like Hansen is a pain in the ass.

He'd probably say Hanson wasn't a draft pick he was signed as an international free agent. Then he would call you a dope.
