It's true.

I am in a rental car trailing The Most Interesting Prospect in Baseball to a health-food restaurant for lunch. He has just finished a three-hour-plus workout at his gym, Accelerate Performance Enhancement Center, with a small group of fellow baseball players. It is late January, and in case I lose the gargantuan black Hummer H3 or confuse it with another on the road, I keep my eyes glued to a trailer hitch with the Chicago White Sox logo on it.

There is something about riding in a Defender that makes you want to put on some beige short shorts, grab your FAL and just look into the distance as you glide across the plains with 5 of your pals.

My neighbor has two Hummers, a huge one and a smaller one. They are pretty obnoxious for suburban/city driving.

That announcement that he was cutting way back next year kind of came out of the blue. Hope he's O.K.

And could Farmio be any more weird? I had the game on in the car and the Sox got two hits and he was yelling like it was Game 7 of the World Series. That guy is odd.

I don't. I'm not going so far as to wish death on him, but fuck him, whatever has to happen to get him out of the booth, good. Guy has sucked the life out of thousands of hours of baseball broadcasts because he's a pissy little bitch, and I'm sick of this organization's allegiance to a slack-jawed homer. He is solely responsible for one of the worst baseball broadcasts in the business, and has been for more than a decade.

He cut back last year and is further cutting back now.

Hawk is terrible, but I actually hate listen to see/hear him get upset. I liked Kasper with Brenley, but the current broadcast tandem isn't enjoyable. I've soured on Kasper quite a bit.

Kasper and Hawk both suck, it's just a different kind of suck. I've never liked either and it was tolerable with Brenly but JD blows as much as Len..it's a real tough listen.
