MANY of your great ballplayers had steaks for names. Wellington Castillo. Joe Stripp. Elmer Porterhouse.

Well what I like about Delmonico is he has never sucked. His entire career he's never had an OBP less than .300, and the only really mediocre OBP he had was in the Brewers system right before he walked away from baseball. He's always hit for power too, literally every stop along the way he's been able to drive the ball. His contact skills have never been bad either, wash out the noise of his batting average and watch him hit. He doesnt have contact issues and hits the ball hard. Its that simple, and he has a track record of doing exactly that his entire professional career. Fangraphs statistical system really loves him, projecting him as 4.4 WAR first basemen over his pre-arb years. I really think the bat plays.

He plays LF quite poorly and is an abomination at 3rd. This team is DHing the likes of Alen Hanson and Leury Garcia so even if he is too bad to just trot out there for the sake of it, which is possible, its not like the Sox have a bunch of mashers they are just dying to get into the DH spot.

Hawk was nearly orgasmic when he bunted into the Delmonico Shift today.

So far, so good with Nick the Stick

He was robbed of a HR and an extra base hit against KC as well

This kid . . . he's impressed since the day he was called up. Has he really only been here three weeks? Seems like so much longer.

Delmonico, Davidson, Leury and Avi being useful players would do wonders for the rebuild.

I like Delmonico on my plate not in my outfield.
