I know we have nothing to base this on (other than past guys like Contreras and el Duque), but are we really sure he is the age he claims to be? There's really no way to verify ages of Cuban players. It would make a lot of sense if he's older than he claims as his bat speed is down. |

Bob posting revisionist history again. MANY different stats, both traditional and advanced, were posted in reply to your silly claim that proved Abreu was a lot better than mediocre. He does not appear to be a 35-40 HR guy. He is off to a terribly slow start this season. |

Did you post that during the year he hit 35 home runs or was it in the interim between that year and the one where he hit 30? Anyway, I don't think you mentioned that he wasn't a power hitter, just that his many home runs didn't go as far over the fence as others. |

In that link I posted, it indicated that Jose Abrue was worth 3.0 fWAR in the year 2015. The following season, 2016, he was worth 1.6fWAR. That is a combined 4.6 fWAR in the seasons 2015 and 2016. BTW 2017 isn't looking good either shitheads. |
