I didn't think the quality of the first 1.5 months of the season would allow for them to have a top pick in next year's draft but they have been so awful over the last few weeks they have shot right into contention. They now have the worst record in the AL. I expect the losing to level out once they start playing more home games again. The x factor is whether they can start moving players after next week.

Shields and Rodon coming back will definitely help the team win some games. The other shoe appears to have dropped on Holland. Pelfrey is fine as a 5th starter for this year, but he sucks too.

At least Rodon is fun to watch. Those guys are few and far between on this team.

It's time to clear the deck. Shields, Pelfrey, Holland, Frazier and Melky gotta go. Cut your losses and trade em, release em or shoot em but they all gotta go. It's time for the young guys to get some on the job training and these tired old fucks are just in the way.

Their former star pitcher is starting the ASG while playing for like $50K a year. That has to count for something.

And people still think it was a smart trade. Unreal.

Sale's value is about to plummet after tomorrow night. Just you wait.

Them not getting Devers really hurts the trade. Settling for Basabe and Diaz was stupid, they were the ones giving up a one-of-a-kind asset not the other way around. The decision to trade Sale was smart, and players like Kopech and Moncada are exactly the type of players they should've targeted, but for a player as rare as Sale on that kind of contract its ridiculous that Dombrowski convinced them to take less.

Now if Kopech is Noah Sydnergaard (minus injury I guess) and Moncada is Robinson Cano nobody cares, but that would one lucky turn of events for the Sox.

Kopech is Kip Wells and Moncada is Hebert Perry.

I don't care what anyone says, they didn't get enough for Sale.

They did get a lot back for Eaton though.
