For a very long time.

Why don't you like Moncada?

Moncada is Baez without the glove, I'm not a huge Baez fan and moncada is a poor man's javy.

I don't know, Baez is pretty good. Moncada though isn't the free swinger Baez is and he takes more walks. I think in two years Moncada will be core piece on a very good White Sox team.

So Rick Hahn traded Chris Sale for Javier Baez? Great.

Yoan projects to be a .900 OPS caliber/high OBP type who could steal 40 bases. That's the primary reason why he was considered to be the best positional prospect in the minor leagues.

You root for the White Sox to fuck up their draft position, and you think that the Javy Baez comparison makes sense based on 100 plate appearances. Pull your head out of your ass, please.

I assumed Yoan had more power potential.

It looks like he may max out at Jason Kipnis level. Which is fine. Maybe not the focal point of a championship team but very good.

He's 22. He has exactly 100 big league at bats (81 with the White Sox). You dolts may declare Ian Happ a success after 100 at bats, but us Sox fans are smart enough to realize that at 22 years old, there are going to be some growing pains with Moncada.

Like the pain of realizing the Sox #1 prospect isn't even as good as the Cubs #9 prospect.

But we felt bad for the impending Moncada bust, so we bequeathed Eloy to you.

A guy who has an ERA of nearly 5, and a WHIP of 1.52 in Double A

Baseball Executive IMU shines again.

Im not basing it off his time with the White Sox. That's been his projection all along, I just assumed he was a different kind of player.

Why would I be comparing a pitcher's minor league success with no taste of the big leagues to Moncada when I can compare Moncada to a fellow second baseman of approximately the same age, who is also currently in the bigs.

You would probably have a little more credibility if every one of your posts wasn't profanity laced.

On second thought, you'd still have a 70 IQ.

I do hope for White Sox to have a lower draft position because I know the DWFs get off on Rich Hahn and Kenny Williams drafting high pick affletes (because it's worked out so well for them in the past). Congratulations on being stuck with these two forever.

And you root against the team of which you're allegedly a loyal fan.

It's too bad that Sox fans have turned into Cubs fans.

Is it an official IMU prediction that Ian Happ will be better than Moncada?

Why would I be needing to predict something that is already true? Are you talking five years down the line?

Yoan Moncada could be the MVP of the KBO in five years. I don't think Happ will ever win KBO MVP.

Is that as a yes that Happ will have a better career than Moncada.

If the Sox wanted to, with the division they are in, they could cobble together a .500 team next year using just the players in Double-A and above that would have a payroll of less than $40M. Like I said I wouldn't bet against this rebuild.

Cmon frank, you guys were fawning over that chump Beckham after 3 months.

He had a great 3 months. He ended up being a bust.

Kyle Schwarber will be lucky to have the career of Gordon Beckham.

Beckham was a bit of a mindfuck. I don't want to bring up WAR because most posters here think that it's an AIDS-infested concept/statistic, but just to illustrate a point:

Beckham's rookie year 2009: 2.3 WAR
2010-2016: 2.7 WAR

Not to mention that he tore up the minors in 08/09, albeit in limited action. A lot of people were giddy about Beckham going into 2010, and not just Sox fans. I recall him going very high in fantasy drafts - I'm talking the first few rounds.

Suppose to be a doubles hitter with 20hr potential. IDK what the fuck happened....
