Baez is good. I think Moncada will be a bit better.

Good at what? The critical art of second base tags?

Really? Javy Baez has no other value?

Yeah, he's a big league player. Nothing remarkable.

Will either of them win a LCS MVP?

Not a chance.

Jorr, I know you've watched the last few games. Baez made several incredible "steals" of home. He is a very exciting player. He made terrific defensive plays in Monday's game. There's a lot to like in Baez.

He's talented and exciting. He just can't get on base.

OPS 5th in MLB among SS

I hear there is a better stat to determine the amount of time a person gets on base.

No. Voters will defer to the veteran Abreu

Of the current Cubs Moncada's offensive profile is closest to Rizzo's, on base and power.

At age 22

Rizzo
wOBA .349
ISO .178
WRC+ 117

Moncada
wOBA .338
ISO .194
WRC+ 111

On Murph today he said moncada credited using a lighter bat for his recent sucess. I forgot who the sox player was that ordered him the lighter bats.

Abreu. And yeah Moncada looks nothing like he did before. It's not just the numbers, he looks the part now. The fear is that the demons return, but at least we got our glimpse.

It's not longer a question of if but when

What metric are we using to determine better? I would hate for this to get bogged down in disagreement like the tie between abreu and rizzo.

Ops lies. It over values slugging and under values on base.
