SAD!

You can smell the fear. I'm sure Elmhurst Steve will be here soon to say the Sox aren't likely to win a World Series in the next 10 years.

Eloy is going to be so money. I'd worry about the pitching next season though.

If I were to predict the next 3 seasons like RPB, I'd go:

2018: 76 wins

2019: 87 wins

2020: 90 wins

as tantalizing as Jimenez may be, the lynchpin to future success is going to be Roberts playing CF

Does anyone know if he has a future at the position?

There is literally no limit to Luis Robert's ceiling.

Wow! You must have seen him play a number of times in order to make such a statement.

I certainly hope the lynchpin to future success is not a 19 year old who has only played in Cuba and 28 games in the Dominican. If one guy is the key to future success wouldn't it make more sense to go out and get Bryce Harper and have him play CF rather than rolling the dice with a guy who hasn't even played in America yet?

no

That would be foolish. Everyone knows Harper is going to sign with the Cubs for less money

Shocking. Waves and waves of talent two years ahead of schedule.

You think the two being in big league camp in 2018 is shocking? You new?

I'm certainly happy for the Sox. Hopefully they build this thing even better than the Cubs and Astros.

Well, he was in Cubs camp this past spring, so how is that a surprise?

It's impossible to know at this point. I would bet against them winning much in the coming season or two, but until we see how their prized young prospects pan out (or don't) it's impossible to say.

Without Rodon. That is a bold prediction.

He just said there is no limit to the ceiling of a guy he has never seen swing a bat who was hobbled by knee and ankle injuries this season.

Most teams are putting their best hitter there nowadays.

Trout, Harper, Bryant

Actually the comment was about Luis Robert.

I thought that idiot Russell was hobbled by domestic issues this season.

That is the best t-ball swing I've seen since Jason Heyward in December 2016. Absolutely spectacular.

With that swing I'm pretty sure he'll put one in play before they have to bring the tee out.

Of the 20 teams which did not make the playoffs this year, the four teams with the best chance to win one WS in the next ten seasons are the Phillies, Angels, Braves, and White Sox. And the Phillies and Braves may knock each other out a couple of times at the divisional level.

4 days ago, Cubs fans are going gaga over the Kyle Schwarber video where he hits off a Tee, Grills some chicken, and does some running. SMH
