That their team is named after one of the failed original names of the Chicago Cubs? That because the White Sox were originally not allowed to use the city 'Chicago' in their official naming, they tried to steal market share from the original Chicago baseball franchise by using one of their previous names? Pretty sad, but reasonable, if you ask me.

They haven't made the playoffs in 9 seasons. 9 seasons!!! They are more irrelevant in this city than the Bears and Bulls if that is believable. It's gotta be hard for them. Just a shit show organization.

The Sox are a franchise, while the Cubs are a legacy. Franchise fits the Sox though. They are like a Mattress Firm. The name on the building will change tomorrow probably, and they are always empty.

I'm a part-time empath, and I have to tell you that what I am receiving from Robert's words is pain. Pain radiates from every syllable, every numeral (which you should spell out if you can with a single word), and every sentence fragment.

Bob--we're here for you. (We're also heterosexual; please keep that in mind.)

This thread caused me to research the origins of the Cubs and it turns out they were called the Chicago Orphans.

Notice how all kinds of fans around the nation are glad to see the Cubbies lost, in large part due to Cubbie fans.

White Sox fans are just in the avant-garde
