Konerko as Player-Manager?

Post subject:  Konerko as Player-Manager?
Was reading an article on Yadi's dream to be named player-manager for the Cardinals and found this little blurb in the article...

Did the Sox seriously consider Konerko? I guess I dont seem to recall that

I think Kenny considered it for a minute. He may have even floated it to Konerko who wasn't interested.

What about Pierzysnki managing? He's had an ambassador role for the White Sox.

PK likely wanted no part of that. Sox did it with a washed up Kessinger for a few months in the 70s.

I think that Konerko might come back to baseball once his kids are out of high school and either in college or the pros. I always thought that Paulie would make a very good hitting instructor if not a manager.
