He's an easy out at the moment, despite his working the count so well at the end of the game.

That floor is about to be .700, or more likely, that is the ceiling...

For about 10 years.

Definitely a change for the better. The fewer amount of times we can see the term boilermaker on this board the better!

Since this post was made, LouBob has been the best hitter in the American League.
For the month of May, he currently leads or is tied for the AL lead in every major offensive category except for stolen bases.

Woof indeed, Bobby! :D

leads the AL in HR and is back to playing gold glove defense at a premium position

He's got a total of 1100 ABs in 48 HR in 4 years. If he's ever going to be Mike Trout, now might be the time. He gets hurt one more time this year, fuck him, he's dead to me.

White Sox slugger Luis Robert Jr. was named AL Player of the Week presented by Chevrolet on Monday.

Robert batted .444 with an MLB-best 1.111 slugging percentage during the week. He crushed four homers over his six games, including two dingers on Sunday that helped the White Sox secure a series victory over the Red Sox. Robert’s 21 homers are the second most in the AL. He trails only Angels star Shohei Ohtani (25).

This is Robert’s first Player of the Week honor, and he is the first White Sox hitter to earn it since José Abreu in June 2021.
He's the only position player in town who deserves a look for the All Star game.

I would say either Swanson or Nico deserves a look on the north side. But definitely there is a really small list of players who should get a look.

You're listening to The Score too much. Nico is 10th in OPS among NL second baseman. Swanson 8th among NL SS. That's not all star worthy.

Stroman and Steele should be there for the Cubs. I would say one could make a fairly strong case for Stroman to start.

Swanson is the leader at WAR in the NL for shortstops. Nico is like 4th.

Not saying either is as worthy as Robert is, but they are at least in the conversation and deserve a look.

Sux fans (like Simpleton) don't understand the value of defense, especially up the middle. their team consistently fields the worst defensive teams in baseball and when they are 10 games under .500 they cry like caveman fIRE dA mANAGER

Not sure where you are getting those stats. Swanson is FIRST among NL SS in OPS and WAR (and 3rd in MLB).
