Not sure what you mean here. Sweeney was a terrific hitter for almost a decade. Sweeney is what the Sox hoped Vaughn would become. At best as is right now he’s Keith Moreland.

Mike Sweeney was a Sox killer for MANY years in the 90s and 00s. Him and Joe Randa.

Sox will probably get him on their coaching staff next year.

The Subdivision tends to overrate their prospects a TAAAAAD bit. I believe they had Oscar Colas in the HOF by now

It's got to be a gut punch to The Subdivision that the Cubs, via a low key trade, once again have the SUPERIOR first baseman in Chicago, while the Sox home grown guy wallows as a below level replacement player

Vaughn has pretty much been a Sox killer his whole career...

Good for you. Between Thomas, Konerko, and Abreu, the Cubs haven't had the better first baseman in town since Bull Durham. Only took you 40 years :lol:
