Despite the roster, this team should absolutely be no worse than 1, maybe 2 games out of first place right now. They are a reflection of their out of date manager.

My only hope is that once JERRY is gone, the organization changes their ways and we see a better team like the Blackhawks after Wirtz.

Yeah it was total mismanagement that the closer gave up a grand slam with 2 outs in the ninth inning

Why does Rick Hahn get a pass? The depth of this team is awful, and TLR is forced to play 4 designated hitters daily. These roster construction issues existed last year, but TLR overcame them.

Yermin Mercedes hit over .400 for nearly 2 months and a couple of other back-ups kept them going when injuries looked like they would kill any hopes. If you want to credit TLR for that, fine, but then you need to blame him for Yermin's sudden decline and the slow fade of the team even after they got healthy.

The teams a mess and there's plenty of blame to go around. That said, I've believed TLR was a bad hire from the beginning and - for better or worse - replacing the manager is the standard response to this kind of performance on any team not led by JR.

Yeah he needs to go . I agree it will be “ step aside for health reasons “ rather than a flat out firing . You can’t fire Robert for tagging up on a useless run and getting thrown out for the last out of the game . They need a change in the hopes it will wake them up .

It's ironic that when he was hired the concern was that LaRussa wouldn't click with the players, when in fact he's always been a "player's manager." It's hard to find a guy who played for him who doesn't love him. J.D. Drew maybe.

So what the Sox need and what the players have necessitated is a cocksucker redass to shake them up. And if and when they get it, I hope the media isn't concerned about Tim Anderson's feelings. They've earned that kind of manager.

The closer was warmed up twice only to sit back down twice. Then he was warmed up for a third time after Tanner Banks couldnt get anyone out. I know you spent a hell of a lot of time this season posting in the White Sox section, but if you're going to continue to post here try to pull your head out of your ass and stay out of the nuanced discussions you aren't able to understand.

Do the White Sox employ a trainer ever?

Why do all your best players get debilitating injuries?

There's definitely some credence to that statement. The White Sox training stuff seems to be absolutely awful.

But Moncada is made of glass. Dude strains a hammy just getting out of bed.

I think some of these guys are just too muscled up. It’s a recipe for soft tissue injuries, particularly in a stop/start type game like baseball.

There was an article a few years ago on Jordan Reed and his nonstop, non-contact injuries. The upshot was he’s too strong for his own joints. Different sport but I think the same may be true for guys like Robert and Moncada.

Eloy’s just fat and will have fat guy injuries forever.

Weren't we talking about Cubans just a couple years ago and how they are injury prone? I forget the reason why.

Harrison over Mendick in tonight's lineup is just another reason to fire this idiot.

With Eloy, when you crash into things and other people, you have a tendency to get hurt. He could avoid many of his injuries by just not being a spaz. Moncada, on the other hand, might be one of those guys that just does not want to play unless he's 100%.

It’s uncouth to accuse an elderly man in a position of power of having shat himself in public.

Isn't this more on the bench coach than it is Larussa though?

Iirc Peter Gammons alluded to a lack of calcium in the Cuban/Dominican diet when they were growing up.

I know he said exactly that about Moncada.
