JORR pointed this out a while ago.

His fastball is too damn straight. He likes his 4 seamer. Doesn't have a 2 seamer from what I've seen.

And he goes up there thinking he can just fire it 99mph, straight 4 seamer, down the middle and get them. Hitters know that. And they put good swings on it. We've seen him give up homers. But he's also gotten a lot of outs on good swings to the warning track. I think he's been lucky this year.

I'm worried about him. He needs to use that slider more. But a lot of times he can't control his damn slider. So hitters know to lay of of that if they can recognize it.

Yep. Add me to this list. I've seen enough. I don't know who a better option would be, but Hendricks gives up way too many HR.

Like I said...

Mother fucker scares me. He thinks he can just fire that fucking fast ball down the fucking middle of the plate at 98 and win. He doesn't even try to hit corners with that fast ball. That's how cocky this Ausie is.

MLB has figured him out. It's straight. No cut on that fast ball at all. Scouts have told all their players. And they fucking kill it.

Glad we got the Cubs guy.

Sox are 6-3 in games where he gives up a HR. Don't ask me how

I know how. Luck.

Every MLB hitter can hit his fucking fast ball. Doesn't matter if it's 98. It's straight and down the middle most of the time. And the great ones will send it 450 feet. He's too damn cocky. He's gotta locate better. They lay off the breaking shit cuz he can't get it over most of the time. And they seem to recognize the breaking shit out of his hand. Then he puts his fast ball on a tee when he falls behind. Hitters all know it. I know it.

The fucking pitching coach should let him know. Cuz I know the fucking problem. So should he.

It’s not good when your closer has 7 wins.

You’re either using him too much or he’s bad.

He's probably tipping his pitches as well. No doubt in my mind. And every team in MLB has figured it out. I don't know the tell. But his coaches should look at the tape and know it by now.

Fucking fix it.

The whole thing is weird. The gopher ball king with an under 1 WHIP has a 7-2 record. Reminds me a little of the Bobby Thigpen year. Set a save record in which every fly ball was caught at wall.

Some of that has been the extra innings rule. And he's been used differently than as just a one inning closer.

Well now we have a legit answer as to who the better option would be.

I'm perfectly fine with Hendriks. Plus I remember what Kimbrel looked like with the Cubs before this year.

I think Kimbrel has lost his edge for real pressure situations.

I wouldn’t put too much faith in him.

But he looked great this year on a bad team.

Part of this is because he's pitched in the 8th inning of games where they were tied or down by a run, but your overall point is valid.

He personally has four wins off of blown saves and zero losses off of them.

yeah, his losses have come from situations where he entered a tied game

That was my overused point.

I suppose that’s the main reason for Kimbrel.

I wouldn't rush a change. 1) I don't like Kimbrel's playoff stats. B) It's a legit argument that bad luck has played into Hendricks giving up the long ball.

All ten of them cant be explained with bad luck.

Yesterday he walked a .210 hitter, then threw a straight fastball right over the heart of the plate

0.76 WHIP. 23 hits, 10HR. It's either bad luck or he's reverting back to when he's 24 yrs old. Nope, that ain't right either because his WHIP was 1.7.

I challenge you to find one gopher baller in HISTORY under a 1 WHIP

I challenge you to find a closer who kept his job when 40+% of the hits he gives up clear the fence.
