No. He’s a world class dumbass.

My favorite part of his post playing career is people acting like he’s a smart businessman for making a ton of money playing baseball. Somehow that translates into him as a savvy investor.

Haha, but you can tell when he loses his train of thought and just starts repeating what the PBP guy said but ends it on a downward note. It happens every time!

He’s a world class dummy. Should’ve retired after making out with his reflection.

ARod: Yoan Moncada named his son Robinson, after Robinson Cano.
Vasgersian: Not Jackie Robinson?
ARod: Robinson Cano was named after Jackie Robinson.

Ok…

ESPN broadcasting sports for people who don't really like sports.

I'm watching with the sound off. Can't stand the presentation.

Glad to know it isn't just me.

ESPN2 was broadcasting cornhole, pogo stick championships and frisbee golf this weekend. It's shameful. And they have hockey coming up. Blech.

I just used my mlb.tv app to get the Sox radio broadcast and timed my TV broadcast to sync up with it

Cease probably could've gone another inning, but what's even the need for that? I think he's getting better all the time. He'll never be a guy who can consistently go past the sixth inning, but that's still a useful asset.

No, it was all pretty pathetic. I think they were calling it ESPN Ocho. Wtf?

Maybe Cease can start a playoff game if it is raining.

Nope. He can be a bullpen guy.

Last night was an example of his stuff being so good he couldn't control it.

It's 1st World pitching problems, when it comes to Dylan Cease. The ceiling is still high.

Pretty sure the late, beyond great, Arnie Harris invented that angle in the 60's. Another example of Vasgersian going out of his way to sound like an idiot.

Post-World War II’s TV capital was Chicago, having one of every 10 TV sets by 1947. New York WPIX and WOR were first to put baserunner and closeup cameras near each dugout and first and third base. In 1951, WGN Chicago invented today’s center field camera. "A guy saw a schoolboy scoreboard and thought, ‘A camera there'd show the hitter and pitcher,’” Cubs and White Sox Voice Jack Brickhouse said. NBC first used it on the 1957 World Series.

I thought it was Arnie.

Just a splendid human being.

https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct- ... story.html

"He was the man behind the curtain," Vorwald said. Harris is credited with pioneering the center-field shot, allowing the camera to peer over the pitcher. It long has been a staple on baseball broadcasts. He also developed other camera angles, bringing Cubs fans ever closer to the action.
