As of a couple years ago he was on the fast track in the Sox organization. Even a candidate for manager.

The Score data geeks were pushing for his hall of fame consideration based on his defensive data, despite his offensive mediocrity.

Bernstein & Julie wanted him to manage the Sox because he's a poc. If he snuck through the system and was the current Sox manager it would be a colossal mess.

It’s a lawsuit summary not a balanced article. A lawsuit meant to separate Vizquel from his money. Maybe Vizquel was married for years and had kids as a cover. Or maybe saying sexual harassment is a better path to riches. I don’t know what happened.

You aren't this understanding with young black males. And you do know that the Sox/Barons suspended and eventually fired him shortly thereafter.

One of these tasks included stocking the refrigerator with Vizquel's favorite beer. The lawsuit claimed on at least five occasions, a partially undressed Vizquel approached the batboy from behind while he was stocking the refrigerator and tried to have "normal" conversations with him. During these conversations, Vizquel would allegedly expose his partial or fully erect penis to the batboy “showing that his purpose in exposing himself was to obtain sexual gratification.”

In a statement, the White Sox said: "After first learning of an alleged incident in late August 2019, the Chicago White Sox conducted an internal investigation that resulted in the termination of the organization's relationship with Omar Vizquel.

The issue with his wife came up in 2020.

He asked a Tigers bat boy to wash his back five years or so earlier. Not normal behavior by any standard.
