gd is right with Vaughn. You expect struggles with a rookie, but he's something like 22 for his last 105 or something like that. He really cannot be batting in the heart of the lineup right now.

They give up an awful lot of runs due to bad fielding that doesn't really show up in errors.

Yeah. You've got Moncada on the bench, and Gonzalez can move to 3rd. Even with a sore knee Eloy can swing. He can walk to first or around the bases.

If nothing else, Leury is probably a better option than Mendick at that point.

Of course with first base open, Melvin probably walks whoever to get to Zavala whom you cannot PH for unless you want to lose your DH.

Why is Lopez still being limited to 5 innings? He started most of the year and is certainly stretched out after five starts with the Sox....but Keuchel, yeah, that guy gets to walk out onto the field to start the sixth and effectively end the game, because that guy has earned it
