Giving up 3 runs in the top.of the 9th was the upside down exclamation point to the end of the season. Short of one weird slugfest game on sunday night this team.got down early and often and was never bailed out by a big 2-3 run HR or inning to get them back in it, then houston woukd casually add to the lead against the white sox pen and tbis series was OVAH!

suffice to say maybe they were a year ahead of schedule, maybe the window is closing sooner than we think... but alls i know is they need a bonafide ace or 2 who can come into.playoff teams and shut down a playoff caliber lineup for 7 innings. I cant remember any starter going for 5 or.more innings this series, and you're not going to win when.that is the case.

At least with some of the position players they have they ahould be able to.slay plenty.of bums next year and hopefully someone like eloy is a legit problem.for opponenrs next year instead of a passenger sitting in the coach class of the lineup.

We had the lead in 3 games and coughed it up the very next inning in all 3 games.

They need pitching to shut down the next inning after getting a lead.

Sox have good young pitching, but they dont have a lights-out veteran like Jon Lester, or a Max Scherzer. Lance Lynn is a reclamation project.

They gotta get an impact ace next year. This team has the pieces, but need a couple powerhouse veterans to fill it out.

Ginats won 1-0. Braves have won 3-0.
