I love it. I wouldn't trust Kimbrel on a good team at this point in his career.

Edit: In unrelated news, my moniker will be able to vote in less than a year. Yikes!

I thought Boozy said the White Sox didn't need any extra outfielders?

Decent move.

6 million in savings this year. Could probably platoon him as the RH side with Engel to keep him physically fresh. He's developed decent power as he's aged. Pretty good contact player. This dramatically improves the OF defense over where we were at. When he is in the game, the late inning D of Pollock, Robert and Engel is elite.

Can't really trust him in season either. I was glad to see him bounced from the north side, and happy to see him moved from the Southside, and he'll blow in LA so that makes me pretty happy too.

If Pollock is capable of walking without falling down it’s a good trade.

League's best or worst. Nothing in the middle.

Cares so much bum didn't know he was coming into a no hitter with the Cubs.

Great trade!

Depends....

Would the Sox of signed anyone with the money they used to pick Kimbrel's option up? If so, who?

They only have a one year commitment with Pollock, and by then they should be able to figure out what to do with Vaughn.

While the Phillies seem hell bent on proving that defense doesn't matter, I don't think either Schwarber or Castellanos could coexist with Eloy defensively. And both of those guys were substantial investments compared to $15M for Pollock.

I think that Pollock could flourish hitting ninth, he is a good BA guy with some pop, and putting him in front of Anderson would get him good pitches to hit.

I don't much like the idea of holding back Vaughn. I think he's going to be a terror.

I think he is going to be really good, but they have no place to put him right now. You can't put him 2 guys in the OF that are terrible. They can DH him some. He will take over 1B when Abreu hangs it up.

It was pretty wise to get Pollock. He helps solidify that OF and gives you a pretty decent bat.

Vaughn was pretty good in the outfield last year. The team is very deep now. Sheets, Vaughn, Pollock, and Jiminez can rotate between the outfield and DH. The bullpen is still deep. Marshall and Fry are still around.

Plus now you have a late inning outfield of Pollock, Robert, and Engel.

When rosters go back to 26 on May 2, it is Mendick or Sheets who is the odd man out?

Need the lefty bat.
