These next couple Innings will make or break the season. They can snap this skid and win today, I think they can right the ship. If they lose this one, the season is going down the drain.

Nothing that happens today is making or breaking the season.

They are going to get hot at some point and roll off several wins in a row. There is too much talent there to not.

Relax.

I hope you are right and that is a perfectly reasonable Viewpoint to have. I don't know though, something just seems different about this season.

I certainly don't think this is an 85 or 90 loss team, but certainly doesn't seem like a division winner either.

Case in point, as I was making that post another two base error

RFDC is right. It is way too early to get worked up. They outclass the entire division. Injuries are the only concern.

It all boils down to winning it all. Making the playoffs isn't good enough. Maybe if you're a cub fan it is. Right now, it's not close to a championship team.

Of course the goal for this team is winning it all. But still that is not happening today. Lots of season left, a ton of talent, and a trade deadline to help fill in the holes on the team.

Not a lot of trade chips, especially if you're set on keeping Vaughn. Pitching still looks thin to me, even though it's been ok given the injuries.

The way the team has been built, the season is World Series or bust. Anything short of winning the American League pennant is a failed season.

LaRussa decided to throw the Cleveland series now they can’t get out of it. I want Buxton fucking drilled next series.

He's right. I'd say LaRussa was asleep, but then he keeps playing Leury and pitching Bummer in higher leverage situations. LaRussa has lost whatever it is he had when he was at least getting to World Series just to blow them.

Yeah, it's LaRussa's fault. Liam Hendricks is awful.

Is the gm really going to watch a championship year go to the toilet because the senile owner loves a senile manager?

Refreshing to hear for sure b

He tanked a 2nd game of a DH in Cleveland after two days off. The luck he had last year doing these types of things has run out.

I left in the ninth when Hendriks put two guys on. I thought it was over then, but they proved me wrong.

Wonder the last 2 years what % of the White Sox inundation of muscle tears, sprains, strains and pulls are due to PEDs?

He didn't even last a month! Makes K.Bryant look like Cal Ripken.

Cheap Jerry waived the white flag on the season before it even started by not spending to fill the holes on this team.

I assume they'll be fine by 162 and hopefully playing their best baseball. Who knows?

I said this was looking like a season for regression and was laughed at.

TLR has been awful.
2B was not addressed.
There are too many fucking DH's on this team.
Defense is Terrible.
Aaron Bummer is not a setup guy.
Liam Hendricks and no movement fastball isn't blowing past anyone.
No depth at starting pitching.

It's a long season and they could very well fix this and win the division, but a deep playoff run isn't happening with this group.

During post-game Friday....Chuck Garfein, who is usually pretty dry asked Ozzie "where's the Vodka....I can't believe they lost this game".  Thanks Chuck....that's actually the highlight of the season thus far.

What I do know is the bullpen is thin. No second basemen. Average defense. And one can make a legit argument they don't have a number one starter
