MLB does not care about the White Sox. The All-Star game is about showing off the stars of the league. No one outside of Chicago gives a flying fuck about D. Cease and his good couple months of production.

T.Anderson flips bats and makes edgy comments so they choose him over some boring white dude.

Cease may end up being the Cy Young. Yesterday, he appeared to be motivated by the snub. The top of the Sox rotation will be scary for about a decade IF their arms don't fall off.

Who are you speaking of? All I see is Cease and Kopech. With Cease turning down a contract extension a year or two ago, I don't even know if they can keep him.

That's all you need. It's a lot easier to find 3-5 in your rotation.

I'd be glad my stars aren't playing a very pointless game risking injury. I've said it before, pro Bowls and all star games should simply be honorary, like the all madden team.

Cease started (and dominated) yesterday so he would not have been eligible to pitch anyway. Still he deserves to be out there on the field and be recognized as being one of the very best pitchers in MLB.

This guy has already accomplished more in his short stint on the sox than Quintana did with the cubs. This trade will go down as the worst of the worst from Epstein.

He was GREAT the season he was traded. Quintana was like 8-2 after the trade. He was largely responsible for the Cubs making the playoffs. IIRC he beat Max Scherzer in his first playoff game. Cease hasn't done anything as important in his career.

Outside of owning the Brewers, Quintana was AWFUL the rest of his time with the Cubs.

I get your point, but I'd hardly call it worst....it's turning out to be underwhelming, just as the haul from Adam Eaton isn't all that special. What we do know is getting Cease alone for Quintana is the winner!

Lopez has reinvented himself as a key reliever, and he has been throwing well enough that he may get another crack at the rotation. They also received Dane Dunning in that trade, whom they flipped for Lynn. That's a pretty good haul for a known douchebag in Eaton.
