How the everloving fuck do you get thrown out at 2nd on that play? Slowest I've ever seen anyone run.

I think you’re minimizing the tagmaster’s role in that play.

No. I don't think I am.

He got the game tying hit though. Does Kopeck’s velocity concern you?

Big time. He was laboring all game. I’m surprised he got into the 6th.

He hasn't been right since the knee injury. I appreciate him trying to pitch through whatever it is.

Agreed. Cease had a similar outing a few weeks ago where he gutted through without his best stuff. I’m hoping the break gives Kopech a chance to reset because he’s very hittable with a 92-93 mph fastball.

You look at the following AB's:

Abrea 9th inning Thur
Vaughn 8th inning Fri
ROberts 9th inning Fri

Each one of those was a clutch situation with runners on, to be able to tie or win the fuckin game.

Each one of those AB's, they fell behind 0-2, including swinging strike 2 at a strike.

Each one of those AB's, they were nervous and tentative as shit.

All 3 are great hitters. This tells me that talent is not taking over and there's something mental in the clubhouse goin' on. That includes the manager.

I still think this team would be significantly better were Hinch the manager.

No doubt. This team seems to play their best when they are out of it (@ DET, @ Frisco), then once there's another glimmer of hope, they tighten up and lay eggs.

That shows there's problems in the clubhouse. They needed a younger manager, a Dave Roberts, a Hinch, somebody that could connect with young players.
